This is my old trip post to
Haing Gyi island,Myanmar, during 2013. I had learned that it is a place where the bay of bengal, the andaman sea and the river meet together. I had been there with my family for some family occasions.
We took bus from Yangon around 9 am and arrived in Pathein around 2 pm. We had some rest in Pathein and traveled with ship from Pathein harbour to Haing Gyi island at night . We have reached to Haing Gyi island around 3 am or 4 am.
We have visited around near by islands around Haing Gyi island as well as Mawtin Zun.
Haing Gyi island is surrounded by "mangrove forests'' , "nipa palm trees" (called "Da Ni" in Myanmar), "swaying palm trees".
Mainly, island economy based on fishing and can also see the other small family business too.
As well as also can see the "salt pans" in nearby villages.

Well ,I have traveled many beautiful beaches around south east asia with fully protective safety equipments. Here we did islands hopping without life jackets and lifebuoy. I thought I felt safe only with the mind of I was with my family. It's very dangerous indeed.

In order to reach "Maw Tin Zun" ,we needed to cross the small river with a boat around 10 minutes and take motorbikes on the back of local drivers.
